Handshaking is a costum used allover the world. Ok maybe in Asian countries the custom is to bow and not shake hands, I yet have to find out, but in the western civilization it is a common thing to say hi to friends, family members or colleagues and then sometimes shake their hands.

But what happened trough the years is that a variation of handshakes has been developped. The standard handshake has become a gymnastic course for your hands nowadays. The fact I bring this up is that I was shaking someones hand today and when I wanted to pull my hand away, I was too late and got in the middle of such a gymanstic movement. I was like: "shit, better keep up!". But before I could anticipate his next move the handshake was already over. And this is just one sample of the many different kind of handshakes I have to give day in day out. As you also have to knuckle bump, the thunbtwister, the fingerwrestling, the vanilla-ice slap, the prince of bel-air psssh, too many too keep up.

I wonder if there's also a different kissing custom to greet ladies ^^

There are some Asian countries like the Philippines that greet other with a peck on the cheek. They call it "beso". I think it's the same in Italy and Spain.

Asians also have the handshake, hehe! Except those who use the handshake custom tend to be more "Westernized" or at least exposed to more Western influences. Singapore and Indonesia have it, as well. I think there are also different types of handshakes, too.

HAHAHAHA! Your experience with the gymnastic handshake is interesting. My friends and I used to have these secret handshakes as well. =)

Hope you're well, Papi!
